Report a Concern or File a Complaint

If you’re visiting this page, you are likely in crisis. You may feel confused and unsure what to do. Below is a guide to reporting the troubling incident you experienced or witnessed.

Reporting Child or Youth Abuse

If you have witnessed or suspect the abuse of a child or young person, report it immediately to local law enforcement or child protective services. Report suspected child abuse or neglect here. 

After reporting the abuse to local authorities, please complete the ADOSC’s Reporting Form so we know about the incident and can provide trauma-informed care to all parties involved.

Reporting Misconduct

Misconduct may include categories of behavior like sexual harassment, discrimination, financial impropriety, abuse of authority, other behavior prohibited by ACNA and the ADOSC canons or policies, or national/state laws.

Are you reporting behavior by a parishioner, staff, volunteer, intern, vendor or Vestry member at your church?

1) Contact your Rector.
2) Complete the Reporting Form.

Are you reporting behavior by your Rector or another clergy Person?

1) If you are reporting on a clergy person other than your rector, first contact your rector.
2) Complete the Reporting Form.
3) Call our Canon for Safe Churches, the Rev. Laura Bowman at (843) 241-1429.

If you believe the behavior you’re reporting to be a crime or workplace law violation, please call your local police or state employment authority. Then complete ADOSC’s Reporting Form.
