St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center seeks an assistant director of environmental education. This is a middle-level management and teaching position that shares responsibility for the Barrier Island Environmental Education program. It includes assisting the director in the hiring, training and management of a team of 14 naturalists. Applicants for this position should have an undergraduate degree focused on fields related to the environmental sciences, as well as prior experience as an environmental educator. Kitchen Helper, Evening Team, St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center
In addition to cooking dinners for 30 to 300 people, this position includes the preparation of the dining rooms; washing dishes, pots & pans; preparing beverages and salad bars; stocking shelves and whatever else is needed to provide quality service to our guests. Applicant needs to have a strong back, healthy feet and upper body strength. Equally important is a demonstrated heart for teamwork. This is a full-time hourly position. Hours for this team are approximately noon – 8pm five days per week, including weekends, for a total of 40 hours per week. Schedules are made about a week in advance and are based on the needs of our guests. We are open year round, seven days a week. Weekend shifts are part of the schedule. Paydays are every two weeks.
