The following message was emailed to Rectors, Vicars and Parish Administrators of the Diocese on August 19, 2025
In order to ensure that ADOSC churches comply with the requirements found in the ADOSC Child and Youth Protection Policy Manual, the Diocese has established an annual compliance deadline of September 30 for all ADOSC churches.
We have created a form you may fill out to affirm your compliance.
To insure that you are prepared prior to filling out the form, Note:
The annual acknowledgment must:
- Be signed by the church’s Rector;
- Contain the name and contact information for the church’s Congregation Coordinator;
- State whether or not the church has had any reports of child abuse or neglect in the past year;
- Confirm that all persons covered by this Policy Manual (see page five of the manual) have completed the required training;
- Confirm that the church has procured insurance coverage for sexual abuse and molestation;
- Confirm that the church received the valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance for all drivers before transporting children or youth during the prior year; and
- Be submitted to the Canon for Safe Churches annually by September 30th.
