Christian Men’s Conference

The Men’s Conference was designed to address the issues facing all men in today’s fast-paced world, and to provide insights and ideas for dealing victoriously with the constant stress we all suffer.

It is our prayer that you will be able to use these teachings to bring you closer to God, through a greater love and understanding of His son, Our Savior, Jesus Christ, and to make the world a better place in which to live.

The Department for Men’s Ministry is excited to announce The Rev. Matt Canlis will be our 2027 Christian Men’s Conference speaker. Matt is an Anglican priest, author, and pastor best known for his work on relational theology and “living at Godspeed”—a movement focused on slowing down to live at the pace of being fully known by God and one’s neighbors. He currently serves as the lead rector of Trinity Church in Wenatchee, Washington. Matt and his wife, Dr. Julie Canlis, spent 13 years in Scotland, where Matt served as a minister at Methlick Parish Church in rural Aberdeenshire. There, he discovered that true pastoral work was grounded in presence: walking the parish, knowing people by name, and participating in everyday community life outside of Sunday services. His experiences in Scotland inspired the creation of the Godspeed concept and Godspeed: The Pace of Being Known. Matt and Julie now live in Washington, balancing local parish ministry, writing, and organizing summer theological retreats in Edinburgh, Scotland. Matt will speak to us about slowing down and living at the “pace of being known” at our 2027 Christian Men’s Conference.
