The Annual Gathering of Anglican Women will be held Saturday, April 22 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:15 p.m. at Church of the Resurrection, North Charleston. The speaker will be Van Weston, sister of the Rev. Rich Giersch, who serves at Church of the Resurrection.

Van has been in the trenches of full time Church Ministry for over 20 years – including All Saints Church in Pawleys Island where she served in in a variety of roles and more recently at Christ Church in Murrells Inlet. During this season, Van enjoyed being a part of the birth of a church and helping shape a community designed to “Connect people to Jesus Christ, to one another, and to God’s work in the world.”

Van’s passions include spending time with people helping them to discover their identity in Christ and their God given purpose based on giftedness and passion. Over the years Van has taught at Women’s Retreats, Church Events and Bible Studies. When she teaches, she fully expects to encounter Jesus in the Word of God and to see lives touched and changed by its power.

Van has been married for almost 33 years and she and her husband Rich have three adult children and two grandchildren.
