Bishop Mark Lawrence to Lead Anglican Women’s Retreat September 21-23, 2018
The Anglican Women’s leadership team is excited to announce that Bishop Mark Lawrence will be the speaker for the annual retreat at St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center this September.
“Prayer is as vast as the Universe and yet remains as near as the closet and as personal as your heart beat,” said Bishop Lawrence. “No prayer sounds so deep in the soul or rings so high in heaven as this prayer the Lord has taught us to pray and by his grace called us to live. To study it, pray it and seek to live it will be life’s great adventure.”
Yvonne Duty, President of the Diocesan Anglican Women’s Ministries, said, “I’m so looking forward to this time together. The time away at St. Christopher is always a treat, and the fellowship dear, but I know that we’ll be inspired by the Bishop’s teaching.”
The retreat will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 21 with supper served at 6:30 p.m. The gathering will end on Sunday morning following a service of Holy Eucharist.
Rooms and cabins are available, as are commuter reservations for those who do not wish to stay at the camp overnight.
