Recovering God’s Vision for the Church

An Overview Study of Ephesians

January 20-March 10, 2019

The Anglican Diocese of South Carolina is offering an eight week teaching course on the book of Ephesians every Sunday from January 20th to March 10th. The class will be taught by Canon Theologian Kendall Harmon in Doar Hall at St. Paul’s Church in Summerville from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. with a lecture presentation for the first hour, followed by a half an hour discussion on the presented material. Christian Men’s Conference

February 22-24, 2019

The Most Rev. Dr. Foley Beach, Archbishop of the Anglican Church in North America will be speaking on “A Work to Do,” at the 2019 Christian Men’s Conference in February. Todd Fields will be the Worship Leader.

Evangelism Workshop

228th Convention of the Diocese of South Carolina

March 15-16, 2019

The Anglican Diocese of South Carolina will hold their 228th Convention on March 15-16, 2019. Clergy, lay delegates and visitors may register below. The cost is $75 for clergy and lay delegates, $45 for visitors.

The Art of Neighboring

A Pre-Convention Mini-Conference with Dave Runyon

What if, when Jesus said we should love our neighbors, he  meant we should love our actual neighbors? Join us Friday, March 15 from 10:30 a.m. – noon at St. James, James Island, to hear Dave Runyon share his testimony of how that idea of neighboring impacted his own walk with the Lord, and re-doubled his efforts to share what the Lord put on his heart with church and community leaders all across the country. This gathering is free and open to the public, but we ask participants to register ahead of time.

Convention Workshops

This year the theme of our workshops for the 228th Diocesan Convention is “Loving Our Neighbor.” In addition to a mini-Conference with Dave Runyon, we are offering four workshops. Each workshop will be offered twice. The first session will run from 1:00 p.m. -2:15 p.m. & the second from 2:45 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The workshops are: Culture & Contextualizing for Mission & Church Planting with The Rev. Dr. Dan Alger; Representational Confession: A Tool for Healing Wounded Communities with The Rev. Dr. Russ Parker; INSITE-Part II–Won’t You be My Neighbor with The Revs. Gary Beson and Tyler Prescott; Neighboring-second mini workshop with Dave Runyon.

GrandCamp

June 17-21, 2019

GrandCamp is a unique, grand faith adventure for grandparents and their grandchildren focused on leaving a faith-legacy for the next generations. Through purposeful activities that grandparents and grandchildren experience together, to discovering from God’s Word what it means to walk in the truth, to building a treasure chest of life-changing memories—all in an environment that invites having a pile of fun—this will be a time for building memories that will last a lifetime!
