Stephen Davis was born in Portsmouth, Virginia but grew up in Kernersville, North Carolina.
After earning a B.A. in Management and Ethics at John Wesley College, Stephen worked in the management field and then the financial industry. Later Stephen was a missionary in Ireland with Serge mission organization.
He received his Master of Divinity from Trinity School for Ministry in 2012. After ordination, he served as a Chaplain Resident at the Veterans Administration in Pittsburgh, with tours in Palliative/ Hospice Care and Homeless Veteran Care.
Stephen’s wife, Mercedes, spent her childhood in Mexico City; Washington, D.C.; Stockholm, Sweden; and Los Angeles, California, before finally settling in her hometown of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She earned a degree in Marine Biology from the University of Chapel Hill and her Master of Medical Science from The Physician Assistant Program at Wake Forest School of Medicine. She has spent her career working in underserved populations. They have been married since 2006, they are proud parents of three children.
