The Rev. Janet Echols, Rector of St Matthew’s Parish Church, Ft Motte, graduated from Trinity School for Ministry and was ordained in 1995. She has served churches in South Carolina, Indonesia, Pittsburgh, England, India, and Israel. In 2000 she and her family moved to Cambridge England; she served as vicar of St. Andrew’s Church (Church of England) and taught Pastoral Theology at Ridley Hall Theological College. From 2008- to 2013 she was a missionary in India with AFM. She is the Director of the Deacons’ Training Course for the ADSC, founding member and graduate of the Anglican Leadership Institute, Commission on Ministry, Chaplain for DOK, active in Cursillo, founding board member Kairos Outside Low Country, founding member AISMN (International Student Ministry), former Board Chair ECMC (New Wineskins), coordinator/speaker for Perspectives in World Mission, ESL teacher, and graduate of Arrow Leadership Program. She is married to the Rev. Dr. Charles Echols and they are the proud parents of Grace, a graduate student at Wheaton.
