Hunter Jordan is the Associate Rector for Families at St. Helena's in Beaufort. The following is a note he wrote to the parish upon accepting that position. Update: August 2021 I was born and raised in Florence, SC. I went to Clemson University where I studied Business, but spent most of my time serving with Young Life during the school year and at Camp St. Christopher during the summers. After college Walker and I married, and I became the youth and family pastor at Trinity Church in Myrtle Beach. Upon completion of my master’s degree at Nashotah House Theological Seminary, my family and I moved to Darlington, SC where I served as the Rector of St. Matthew’s Church. After a season of ministry in Darlington, I served with a campus ministry organization partnering with Anglican Churches to establish college ministries around the south. I continued that ministry and lead the outreach at Christ the Redeemer in Pendleton, SC before accepting this call to serve at St. Helena’s. Here are some fun things to know about our family: My wife Walker and I met working at Camp St. Christopher, we have three children, but they come with five names (Tindall Claire 10, Emma Ruth 8, and Walter 7), our dog is named after Winston Churchill’s wife Clementine, we love the outdoors, and good food! I am sure in the upcoming weeks and months we will all get to know each other better, and I look forward to partnering with you as you seek to grow in your knowledge and love of the Lord. Thank you in advance for welcoming us into the community.
