I was born on Cape Cod in Massachusetts as the middle child of three brothers, and I spent my whole life in Massachusetts until moving to Myrtle Beach upon retirement in 2008.
After graduation from Bridgewater State College in 1968, I taught school for twenty-six years. I obtained a Masters in Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School and was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Massachusetts, where I served in parish ministry until my retirement.
I married my wife, Joan in 2014, after spending five years as a single man after my wife, Marsha died in 2009. Here in my retirement, I have been involved in ministry at The Church of the Resurrection as an Associate Priest serving the church in a variety of parish leadership functions. I have always said that being a priest is a privilege that has been nothing but a blessing in my life. I continue to answer God's call on my life to serve the Lord through the church and through all the other arenas of my life.
My two children (Dana and Merrill) as well as my four grandchildren (Bekah, Laura, Cassie, and Forrest) are all adults scattered all over the country living their lives. I also have two great-grand children who live in Maine. Joanie has two daughters (Beth and Kathi) and one grandchild (Natalie) all of whom live out west. I guess that just gives us one more excuse to travel.
