Reverend Peter Levasseur has been the Rector of the Historic Church of the Epiphany (Eutawville) since October 1st, 2019. He is a Native of Long Island, New York. Upon Graduation of Highschool in 1980, he served 4 years in the U.S. Airforce. He graduated with a BA in Religion from Mid-America Nazarene University (Olathe, KS) in 1989 and graduated with a MDiv from Nazarene Theological Seminary (Kansas City, Missouri) in 1993. He pastored a Nazarene Congregation in Sullivan, Missouri (1994-96). He began a ministry as a Chaplain for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in 1997. He retired as a Chaplain in 2017. He served at 5 different Federal prisons in Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. He has been living in South Carolina since 2008 with his wife Jenny and they have a son, Matthew. Jenny is originally from Bogota, Colombia. Peter enjoys preaching the Word of God and fellowshipping with his parishioners after Sunday morning worship service.
