The Rev. Luke Deman
St. Timothy's, Cane Bay
Luke is the Rector of St. Timothy’s in Summerville, where his ministry is shaped by a deep desire to be a faithful messenger of Christ’s love and mercy to the Church and the world. He began his life in the Diocese at St. Paul’s, Summerville, where he served as Junior Warden and participated in young adult ministry and in Alpha as a facilitator, speaker, and coordinator. In 2015, Luke joined the planting team of St. Timothy’s, where he discerned a call to ordained ministry. Luke attended Trinity School for Ministry in Pittsburgh and returned to St. Timothy’s, now a full parish in the Diocese. He has served as Rector since 2020. He has participated in Cursillo as both an attendee and volunteer, served on Diocesan Council, and regularly provides pulpit supply across the Diocese due to St. Timothy’s Saturday evening worship. Luke is married to Jennifer, a project manager, and they have two children, Oscar (13) and Marcella (8). (Updated 1/2026)
