Ongoing Hurricane Relief Efforts

Samaritan's Purse removing tree from house Hurricane Helene

Diocesan Coordination

Stephen Haynsworth, who serves as our Diocesan Disaster Relief Coordinator, is organizing relief efforts from our Diocese for ARDF. We are working closely with ARDF to maximize our effectiveness.

A message from Stephen Haynsworth Diocesan Coordinator for Disaster Preparation and Relief (Updated November 6, 2024): It’s now been over a month since hurricane Helene hit WNC. ADOSC chose to put our efforts mostly on North Carolina because it was close, and many of us have family and friends in the mountains. The Diocesan response has been great with many churches taking supplies and send teams to help clean up.

Pray for the churches to continue to be beacons in their communities, by sharing and loving those hurting. Pray for peace and energy to continue to rebuild. As of October 30, there are no request for additional supplies.

Any Churches with supplies are asked to contact me at haynsworthsa@gmail.com to make arrangements to bring them to a facility we have permission to use in North Charleston.

Visit the ARDF website to see  learn more about upcoming trips. The three planned rebuild trips in November are completely full.

If you want to assist, but are unable to go, offer to sponsor someone for $250
Donate to ARDF, Churches are buying supplies and paying contractors, and it will be some time before any insurance money comes in.
