Jeremy Shelton to be Ordained to the Priesthood December 1

God willing, on December 1, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Saint John’s Parish Church, Johns Island, the Rt. Rev. Mark Lawrence will ordain Jeremy Shelton to the sacred order of priests. Clergy are to wear white stoles. There will be a luncheon reception following.

Jeremy was ordained to the transitional diaconate on June 6, 2018, and serves as curate of St. John’s Parish Church. Born and raised in Louisville, KY, Jeremy came to Charleston in 2004. He came to a life with Christ after two visits to Saint James at the encouragement of his wife. Under the discipleship of the Rev. Arthur Jenkins, he discerned the call to ordained ministry. Jeremy graduated from Trinity School for Ministry in 2018. He and his wife, Jessica, have three sons, Will (11), Ben (9), and Hayes (2).
