YES, they do! Our churches are generously blessing students and supporting teachers as they return to school! Here are the ones we heard about:
- Christ the King, Pawleys Island handed out a card with the name of each child in school. Parishioners picked up a card and will pray for that student weekly for the school year.
- Church of the Resurrection Surfside provided 85 clear plastic book bags filled with back to school supplies as requested from Horry County Schools for those in need in the community.

Good Samaritan, Summerville purchased backpacks and gave $50 gift cards to children in the HALOs program.

Christ the King, Pawley’s Island purchased Amazon Gift Cards for school teachers.

Prince George Winyah, Georgetown collected backpacks to donate to children in need.

St. Michael’s, Charleston collected school supplies.

St. John’s, Johns Island gave $25 and $50 gift cards to the teachers and support staff at Haut Gap Middle school the school where they meet for worship.

Church of the Holy Spirit, Daniel Island hosted a back-to-school shoe drive and cookout for those in a neighboring apartment complex.

Christ Church Anglican, Mt. Pleasant invited parishioners to sponsor a child to provide specific supplies and collected general school supplies, as well.

Saint James Anglican, James Island collected school supplies for the Teachers’ Supply Closet (TSC) a nonprofit organization that provides free school supplies to teachers in the Tri-County area who work at schools where 69% or more of the students are on the free or reduced meals program.

The Well, Myrtle Beach collected school supplies for Help4Kids.

St. Helena’s, Beaufort held a back to school bash for adopted and foster children and their families.

St. Paul’s Anglican, Summerville organized a clothing drive for local students in need of new clothes for the upcoming school year.
