Preparing for the Bishop’s Visitation
To prepare for the Bishop’s Visit, churches are asked to submit the following documents using this online form no later than 4 weeks prior to the visit.
An email with these instructions and more details for the visit will be shared with the rector and parish administrator 6 weeks prior to the visit. Please reach out to Madison Kuzia with any questions.
1. The 2026 Visitation Customary Form (Typed)
Please note: plan to include the Seasonal Acclamation (see BCP, p. 123 or 145-146) along with the Confirmation Acclamation (BCP, p. 175) at the beginning of the Confirmation liturgy to preserve a sense of the Church Year in the service.
As noted on the customary form, please assign someone to take pictures on the day of and email them to madisonk@adosc.org the next day for publication.
2. Your most recent Annual Report, which should include:
a) Annual Budget
b) Year-end Treasurer’s Report to reflect progress toward budget
c) Ministry activity for the year
d) Missions activity for the year
Please submit this report in one combined PDF.
3. A Sampling of Vestry Minutes with Corresponding Monthly Financials
Choose 3 to 4 from the previous 12 months; be sure to include the corresponding Monthly Financials.
These must be submitted in one combined PDF.
