Canon Mark Eldredge will share on the top five aspects that are necessary to see your church turned around from both his personal experience in revitalizing churches and his work with churches across the ACNA as the Director of Church Revitalization for the American Anglican Council (AAC). This workshop will also serve as an introduction to the ReVive! Church Revitalization process the AAC provides should your church be interested in engaging in the revitalization process.
Mark Eldredge is the Director of Church Revitalization for the American Anglican Council serving the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) by helping local congregations better fulfill the Great Commission in our times. He also serves a similar role as the Canon for Congregational Health for the Gulf Atlantic Diocese based in Jacksonville, FL. Mark is married to his best friend, Ame, and they have three children from 27 to 17, and one grandson.

David planted Christ Church as a Small Group in 1985 and, by God’s Grace, enjoyed 31 years of faithful and fruitful ministry. He is now leading “The Evergreen Project” of the ACNA, a ministry that collects, creates, and curates the best stewardship and generosity resources for the thriving church. David and Fran have four children, five grandchildren, and live in Plano, Texas where he founded and now directs the non-profit resource ministry called LeaderWorks.

Bishop Lawrence’s vision is for every church in the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina. to partner with an overseas diocese. However, while Western Christians (generally) prize control, efficiency, effective management, benchmarks, and goals in global partnerships, majority-world Christians often esteem relationship over task, group consensus over individual analysis, and caution over risk. Thus, global partnerships, though essential for gospel advance, can be messy and confusing endeavors.
The Rev. Chris Royer served 16 years as a missionary in the Middle East and five years at the Church of the Cross in Bluffton. He’s been serving as the Executive Director of Anglican Frontier Missions since 2014, and he invites us to explore both the landmines and the beauty of cross-cultural partnership.

The Rev. Canon Dr. Dan Alger is the Canon for Church Planting for the ACNA. He has been active in the work of Anglican church planting as a planter, coach, overseer, and friend for over 18 years. He is the co-host of the Always Forward Podcast and author of numerous articles. His doctoral work was on organizing Anglican dioceses for the work of church planting. He is
married to Karen and they have two boys: Eli and Silas.
The Rev. Todd Simonis serves as the Diocesan Canon for Church Planting. In addition, he serves as an Associate at St. Helena’s Beaufort. Todd loves his wife (Elizabeth), two children (Annie and Luke) and his beloved Green Bay Packers.

Bishop Mark Lawrence has served as the Bishop of The Anglican Diocese of South Carolina since his consecration in 2008. He is the founding Chairman of the Anglican Leadership Institute and serves on numerous boards including Trinity School for Ministry. He and his wife, Allison, have five children and 19 grandchildren.
The Rev. Marcus Kaiser is the rector of the Church of the Holy Comforter in Sumter. He was a member of the Liturgy and Common Worship Task Force (LCWTF) of the ACNA, the committee which produced the 2019 Book of Common Prayer. He now serves as chairman of the task force as it begins work on a Book of Occasional Services, a book of feast days of the Church, and other liturgical resources for the province. He is also the chairman of the Liturgy and Worship Commission for the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina.

St Matthew’s, Fort Motte, grew by 50% this year, mostly young families with small children. Now, I don’t claim that if you come to this workshop you will get the “secret formula” for growth. What I can say is that I will share with you the journey God has led us on for the past six years that is now bearing fruit. Including the importance of:

The Rev. Mrs. Janet Echols is the Rector of St. Matthew’s Parish, Ft Motte, and a former AFM missionary to India and Teacher of Pastoral Theology at Ridley Hall in Cambridge England. In her 25 years of ordained ministry she has served churches in the US, England, Indonesia and India.

The Rev. Juan Rivera is the missions ambassador for the Church of the Cross, Bluffton, and his current assignment is to the Latino community of the lowcountry. Prior to joining the staff at the Cross he served as a missionary for 20 years. His last assignment was working within the Hare Krishna community in New York. Juan and his wife, Liz, have planted six missions and worked with two revitalization churches. They have been married for 30 years. and have three adult children.
The Rev. David Dubay is Rector of Holy Trinity Windermere, Charleston and Priest in Charge of Hispanic Ministries of the Diocese. The Hispanic Ministries in the Charleston areas is centered on The Church on the Move, a portable church that meets every Sunday in a work camp on Johns Island. David is a former member of the Standing Committee and currently serves on the Diocesan Concil. He and his wife, Lisa, have three children.

Since January 2002, Dr. Harmon has been serving as Canon Theologian of The Anglican Diocese of South Carolina and associate rector at Christ St. Paul’s, Yonges Island. His ministry emphasizes preaching, teaching and writing. He is married to Elizabeth, an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at MUSC, and they have three young adult children, Abigail, Nathaniel, and Selimah.
