SUMMARY:Ordination of The Rev. Collin Reed to the Priesthood
DESCRIPTION:By the Grace of God and the Consent of the People\, Bishop Chip Edgar\, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina\, will ordain The Rev. Collin Barrett Reed to the Sacred Order of Priests on Saturday\, October 4\, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Church in Sewickley\, PA. \nHaving received his Master of Divinity from Trinity Anglican Seminary in May of 2024\, Collin began serving full time as Assistant Rector for Pastoral Care at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in Sewickley\, PA\, on June 1st of this year.  Before answering the call to full time vocational ministry\, he received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Southern Wesleyan University and had a 20-year career in the retail beverage industry.  His wife Shannon\, a postulant to the vocational diaconate\, is the former Children’s Ministry Director at St. Paul’s Anglican in Summerville\, and the current Minister to Children and Families at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in Sewickley\, PA. \nCollin and Shannon have two children\, Jackson (22)\, a senior in the Professional Golf Management program at Campbell University in North Carolina\, and Olivia (19) a sophomore psychology student at Robert Morris University in Pennsylvania.  Collin enjoys serving in church\, hanging out with family\, hosting friends\, exploring western PA\, and golfing when he has a chance.  While on a quest to find the best food in Pittsburgh\, Collin discovered that Yinzers makes the world’s best French fries! \nCollin loves to visit with people and hear their stories of life and their faith\, hope\, reconciliation\, and redemption found in the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. \nView the invitation.

Join with ADOSC Communicators and church photographers from around the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina for a  hands-on workshop from 10-2 p.m. on October 24\, 2024 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Summerville. The event is being hosted by the ADOSC Communications Department with the goal of equipping church communicators and photographers to take compelling photos for use in parish communications. \nQuality photographs which capture the life of a parish–from big events like confirmation to simple interactions during times of fellowship–can transform church communications. Through photography\, communicators can convey real human connection\, sincere moments of worship\, joy\, celebration\, and so much more. \nHear from expert Wade Spees\, a photographer for The Post and Courier for nearly 39 years\, participate in a mini shoot around the campus of St. Paul’s Anglican Church\, share your photos\, discuss editing styles\, and receive feedback. DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, October 30\, 2024\, you are invited to join others from around the Anglican Church in North America and the Anglican world for a special Service of the Investiture of Archbishop Steve Wood. \nThis historic service\, similar to a commissioning\, will be held in Mt. Pleasant\, South Carolina (just outside of Charleston) at 6:30 p.m. at Seacoast Church (750 Long Point Rd.\, Mount Pleasant\, SC 29464). The doors will open to the public at 5:45 p.m. The sanctuary seats 2\,500 with some spillover (i.e tv viewing) in the reception area. \nOut of town guests can make reservations in the following hotels at a special event rate: \nHampton Inn & Suites Charleston/Mt.
