DESCRIPTION:The Three-Day Cursillo Weekend\nThe Cursillo weekend brings together a diverse group of Anglicans to share the richness of many modes of worship and to broaden each one’s appreciation for our Church. Lay people conduct the weekend with two or three members of the clergy functioning as spiritual advisors. Cursillo presumes that those who attend are already well grounded in the faith. It is not intended to be a conversion experience but an enriching and deepening of what is already there. It often provides new insights into our faith as well as fostering ministry among lay people. \nThe weekend begins Thursday evening spent in the Chapel with meditations\, discussions\, and Compline. Then blessed silence is kept until after the worship on Friday morning. After breakfast participants are assigned to table groups for the weekend. The three days are filled with talks and group discussions with emphasis on the doctrine of Grace\, the Sacraments\, and the great Cursillo tripod: Piety\, Study\, and Action. Plus there is fellowship\, singing\, good food\, and time for privacy\, meditation\, prayer\, and walks. Eucharist is celebrated each day. \n  \nLearn more.

This experience of a lifetime leads men on a journey to reclaim biblical manhood by walking in the footsteps of Jesus. DESCRIPTION:Diocesan Ultreya! October 30\nIn Spanish\, the expression “Ultreya!” is a rousing exhortation of encouragement that means “Onward!”  Within the Cursillo community\, “ultreya” can also refer to a geographical region comprised of numerous parishes\, much like a deanery.  A third meaning of “ultreya” refers to a convocation of all the regional ultreyas  for the following purposes: \n1) to welcome recent attendees of a Cursillo Weekend to the the diocesan Cursillo community 2) to encourage each other by sharing how God has helped individuals on their faith journey 3) to reunite with brothers and sisters in Christ from around the diocese 4) to worship Jesus Christ \nThe next Diocesan Ultreya will take place at St. Paul’s\, Summerville on Saturday\, October 30 from 9:00-2:30.  If you are curious to learn more about Cursillo\, this is a wonderful opportunity to come and see!  All are welcome.  Lunch is $7.00\, payable at the door and reservations should be made at parishhousecatering@gmail.com \nLearn more about Cursillo.

DESCRIPTION:Fall Clean-up Day at St. Christopher\nOrganized by Cursillo 4th Day (Attendees)\nNovember 20\, 9 a.m. \nThe work will include debris cleanup\, facility facelifts\, light painting\, minor carpentry\, and more. We will have a list from the camp as to their greatest needs down to their wants. As always\, this is a great way to give back\, get to see your Cursillo family and be the servants that Jesus called us to be! The workday will run from 9am to 3pm but we welcome any hours you can support. We need as many hands as possible; let’s build on the successes of our last two workdays.
